The Buck Stops Here...

Hello there Ministers. It's been a little while but I've had some time to ponder on a few topics and issues to say the least, and a thought came to mind. I am an avid lover of anything gangster related, please don't ask me why? I just find it intriguing how one person can gain so much power and influence over another persons thought process. Have you ever sat back and watched documentaries on mob bosses, local hoods, gangsters, etc.? One person will ultimately lay down the street rules for an entire neighborhood, block, or city. Let's talk about one in particular and the ultimate reason for this blog; The Godfather parts I, II, and III.

This American film series is my favoritest (yes I said favoritest) movie of all time. I fell in love with the Corleone family from the beginning. My inner person is Michael Corleone, many would think Nino Brown but Michael had a different set of morals. His standards were high, he made wise investment choices, he was cool, he was smart, and he always stayed two steps ahead of his opponent. It was called chess not checkers. Now allow me a few more moments of your time to get to my point.

In the last series part III, the final scenes, Michael's daughter Mary is shot and killed. She falls to the ground. Her mother Kay grabs her and holds her tight. Michaels sister Connie raises her veil, covers her head and begins to weep. Michael realizes that the bullet meant for him has hit his daughter directly in the heart. The look of agony, hurt, pain and frustration on his face is one that will be etched in my memory for many years to come.

Michael dies shortly after, in the same manner in which his father died, in the garden; alone. I took the long route simply to express a point. Don't allow what has been done for generations to be your ultimate fate...the buck stops here! No longer will you become a victim of your circumstance, no longer will you accept the mantra of "that's just the way it is". No longer do you have to accept the ideal of what others have destined for your life.

I decree and declare that THE BUCK STOPS HERE!!

I've never stopped praying for you. Thank you for your continued support.
